Life.............3 Months At A Time

BC and I live a rather odd life, financially speaking. Since losing his job, we mostly live on school loans which come in about every 3 mos. It's weird; not bad, just weird.
I try to budget our life 3 months at a time - pay the rent 3 mos in advance, the bills the same way, etc. I'm fairly good at it, but I get very nervous about it. Living this way definitely tests my faith. You go from those last few days, and you only have a couple hundred bux left, if that, and the bills are all due again, to suddenly a pile of cash in your lap. Personally, if I could, I'd pay everything a year at a time! Soooo in the last 2 days, needless to say, I feel as tho I have spent a small fortune. Monday I started out with $6000.00 - went shopping (of course!) Paid the cell bill, wired my kid $600, ordered a couch (got a good deal on it! The store is closing and so I got it for $350, including delivery). We REALLY need new furniture!!!!! Wrote out a check for $60 for my kid, sending a check for the rent for 3 mos today. All that's left is the cable and gas & electric, then grocery shopping. I usually do the grocery shopping first but for some reason this time I'm doing it last. I typically spend $300-350 on groceries. Ok, so here I sit - and I'm starting to worry already. God!!!! I need to get my pharmacy license for Texas so I can get back to work!!!! Even part time in pharmacy would pay most of our monthly expenses.

Have soooo much to do today! My house has been a wreck since the Fam was here. I need to clean BAD! My daughter, fortunately, or unfortunately, does not have my meticulous house keeping neurosis, and I tried soooooooooooo hard to not pick up after everyone last week; I tried to not freak out if a dish went unwashed for a night. It was rough!!! LOL!

We're still working on the house. The living room is finished except for new carpet. We painted the walls a light khaki and the trim white and the front door is like a brick red. Our house exterior is stone so the red looks really good with it. Painting the inside of the door the same this week sometime. The couch I ordered is more of a southwest style........not exactly what I wanted but I think it'll work, and it should be fairly easy to match up with other pieces in the future. Getting rid of the loveseat we have now, but I guess we're keeping 'the man chair'............for now. It's a deep red also - doesn't really match but it doesn't really not match, ya know? BC is going to re-do the coffee table rather than getting rid of it and having to buy a new one.
Will post some pix later of the Fam's visit
More Later..............
