Sounds of Morning

Almost every morning, I am up before daylight. As soon as I hear the birds, my eyes are open. I don't get it.


Put me in the city with its sirens, garbage trucks, trains, busses, car horns, etc., and I sleep right thru it! I do miss the city. I miss the hustle and bustle. I miss yelling at cab drivers. I miss being able to sit at a cafe and look out the window onto the street, or sitting at the cafe tables out doors in nice weather. Do I miss it, really? Or, is it just what I have become so accusmtomed to? Maybe a little of both.
Still getting the painting job done - didn't go as quickly as we'd hoped, largely because of me, I'm sure! I bailed. Got frustrated, got headaches, so I wussed out. Awoke with a migraine this morning but Bayne squeezed my head until I could fall back to sleep. Applying pressure to my head is the only thing that seems to work effectively on my migraines any more.
In 24 hours, The Fam will be landing in Dallas!! O Em Gee!! They're renting a car there and driving here to Tyler (a couple hours away by car). I anticipate their arrival to be around 2:00-ish Saturday afternoon. Dallas-Ft. Worth can be a nightmare to get out of, especially if you've never been there before, so it'll take awhile for them to get out of the airport, shuttled to their rental, then a couple hours to drive here. Unfortunately, they're having to fly out of Columbus instead of Cincinnati. Made an error when booking the flight and for the low, low price of $150 per ticket, the airline would correct my mistake. Ummmm, that's ok, fuck you very much!!! So they're driving the 2 hours to Columbus!
Supposed to be 84 degrees here today - SORRY, SHANNON!!! Heeheehee, with a cold front moving in over the weekend, down to the 60's! Brrrr!!! In a couple of months, tho, I'm sure I will be swearing I'm in hell with the 100 degree temps here! Gawd!
